New KinderKid in Town!
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages…the KinderKids would like to announce the arrival of a new member to our team. A very special visitor has arrived in our classroom, his name is Stanley Lambchop. Stanley has been flattened by a bulletin board in the middle of the night! Now he is only a half of an inch thick…can you believe it? Stanley is so skinny – he can be mailed to visit his friends in California. Can you imagine being 1/2 an inch thick? Think of the things you could do and then think of the things you couldn’t do. Take a few minutes to tell us what you would do if you were a 1/2 an inch think like Stanley. Do you think Stanley will do that in our book?

I could fly like a paper airplane. I could also slide through small spaces. I think Flat Stanley will do both of these things in the book. I could not go outside when it is windy, because I would blow away.

I bet I could just slide under my door instead of having to open it. I would not be able to open the door because my hand would be flat. I bet Flat Stanley will slide under doors too.

If I were Flat Stanely I would go to Texas in an envelope to see a buffalo, get a cowboy hat and ride a horse.

I think that I could slip under a door and into small place like the VCR and maybe fix it!!!! But my dog mocha might not see me nd squish me! I like reading about Flat Stanly. I can’t wait until our Flat Stanly visits my Uncle Scott and Aunt Christy.

Ms. Lorance’s first grade says thank you very much. We can’t wait to get your Flat Stanleys in the mail. We are putting ours into an envelope right now! We are putting a video thread together to tell you a little about ourselves. It should be ready by Friday!

I like reading about Flat Stanley. And I wish I could get mailed in an envelope to New York. Then I could see the Statute of Liberty. Then I wish I could get on a plane and go to Australia. And that would be all!

If I were Flat Stanley, I could slip in a book and travel wherever the book goes. I could also slip under the door of my bunnies’ house and play with them.

Hello Mrs. Patrick’s Kindergarten Class! I am sure Flat Stanley would have a blast at the ocean. Send him to Ocean City, MD to visit me!
