Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Wasn’t March 2, 2010 so much fun?  We celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday!  We had visitors from the middle and high school come to our classroom to read to us.  We also got to play games with them.  There was even a puppet show.  Read Across America Day is very important.  It helps us to remember reading.  Do you think that it is important to know how to read?  Why?  What are some of your favorite things to read? Also, you can click on the Cat in the Hat to visit Seussville and play some games!  Be sure to answer our questions first!

Terrific Teeth!

KinderKids, did you know that February is National Children’s Dental Health Month?  I am so happy  that our nation chose to note the importance of healthy teeth.  Can you list some ways you keep your teeth healthy?  Also, maybe you could click on the tooth to play some teeth games.  Be sure to let us know which game you like the best!

Do you remember the day that Santa visited us at school?  I remember listening to the items on your lists.  I heard requests for all kinds of different toys and electronic gadgets.  I was hoping that Santa honored those requests when he visited your home on Christmas Eve!  I am dying to hear about what our team members received over the holidays, aren’t you? Please leave us a comment and let us know what Santa brought you, maybe you could even use your webcam to show us what he brought you!

“We’re not in Kansas anymore, Stanley!”

Kinderkids ~ wasn’t it great meeting our technology buddies in Kansas City?  Did you know that they created a voice thread for us?  Imagine that!  Take a listen to what they would like for their Stanley to do once he arrives at our school.  Do you think we will be able to do what they ask of us?  Are you excited about having a Stanley visit you and your home?  What is the first thing you will do with your buddy’s Stanley when you get him home?  After you comment take a look at what our technology buddies had to say about our first Skype opportunity!  Google Doc link.
